The Back-to-the-Land movement was still alive, with communes and homesteads dotting the forested hills. The “CAMP” era (Campaign Against Marijuana Planting) had just begun, turning rural life into a delicate balance of survival, secrecy, and self-sufficiency. Amid that chaos, a different kind of vision took root: to nourish the soil instead of exploiting it. Guano Co emerged not as a grow operation, but as a soil-first supply company—dedicated to offering organic inputs like seabird and bat guano, earthworm castings, and kelp meal sourced with integrity from across the globe.
